Passiontide
The last two weeks of Lent have traditionally been referred to as Passiontide. It is customary in some places to veil images, statues, crosses, and crucifixes with violet veils during Passiontide. This may be done either on the Eve of Lent V or on the Eve of The Sunday of the Passion: Palm Sunday.Morning Prayer:
