The Fifth Sunday after Easter commonly called Rogation Sunday (White)

Rogationtide

The three days after Rogation Sunday and before Ascension Day have for many centuries been designated as days of special prayer and supplication (“rogare”) for the “seeds sown.”

The canticle Benedicite, Omnia Opera (p. 26) is suitable for use on Rogation Days in place of the Te Deum at Morning Prayer.

The BCP commends the use of the Litany on Rogation Days.
