Remembrance Sunday
Remembrance Sunday may be observed at a second service on the Sunday or an Act of Remembrance may be added at the end of the first service of the day. Additional propers for a Remembrance Sunday service may be found on p. xlviii.Act of Remembrance: This may be best done at the end of the service. During an appropriate hymn there may be a procession to a suitable station such as a war memorial, plaque, or a list of those who served and/or died in the wars. The blessing may be said after this or before the procession to the station.
As the propers for Remembrance Day are also those for All Souls’ Day it may be appropriate that elements of that commemoration might be incorporated into this service. See liturgical notes on All Souls’ Day.
Please see additional information in the BAS section of this book in the liturgical note for Remembrance Sunday.
