Note: The Alleluia at the dismissal in today's liturgies may be doubled. The Paschal Season ends after Evensong (or Compline). The paschal candle is extinguished at the end of the last service and, if it has been moved to a more prominent position during Easter season, is now returned to its customary place in the church, usually near the font. It is lit only for baptisms, and for funerals, when it is placed near the remains of the deceased. The memorial of Columba, Abbot of Iona, Missionary, 597 may be observed 10 June.
