The Day of Pentecost (PF) (Red)
Sunday, May 20th, 2018
Morning Prayer: Ps 118; Dt 16:9–12; Acts 4:18–21, 23–33; Coll 345
Holy Eucharist: Propers 345; Acts 2:1–21 or Ezek 37:1–14; Ps 104:25–35, 37b; Rom 8:22–27 or Acts 2:1–21; John 15:26–27, 16:4b–15; Preface of Pentecost
Evening Prayer: Ps 145; (Is 11:1–9); Jn 4:19–26; Coll 345
Note: The Alleluia at the dismissal in today’s liturgies may be doubled. The Paschal Season ends after Evensong (or Compline). The paschal candle is extinguished at the end of the last service and, if it has been moved to a more prominent position during Easter season, is now returned to its customary place in the church, usually near the font. Until the Great Vigil of next year, it is typically lit only for baptisms, and for funerals, when it is placed near the remains of the deceased.
